Getting There

We’ll keep this page updated with the latest information as we work out the best options for getting everyone from the UK to the venue.

Flying

The nearest airport is Pisa (PSA) with Florence (FLR) being another good option, although a little further may have more choice of flights.

For those not planning on travelling around Italy prior to the Wedding, our recommended route would be to fly to Pisa (BA from Heathrow, Easyjet/Ryanair/Jet2 from Manchester) and plan to arrive the day before on Thursday 8th June. Enjoy the night in Pisa (You don’t need much time there anyway) and then travel to the venue at around midday on the Friday.

From the Airport to the Venue

Taxi/Bus transport in Italy can be expensive but when we know everyone’s travel plans we can help sort this out, with the possibility of arranging group transport from Pisa to make it more cost effective for everyone.

If you fancy taking a train, you will need to get a regional train from Pisa Central Station to Grosetto. The journey time can vary depending on the service you take, but most services will take just over 1hr. From Grosetto, the venue is roughly a 30min taxi ride. Again, once we know your travel plans, we can start to look at these specifics in more detail, so please do not worry about them just yet!

Note: Flights are generally available to book 12 months in advance

Driving

If you’d rather drive from the UK or fly and hire a car, that works well too — the venue has plenty of parking.

Driving from Pisa to the venue will take roughly 1hr30 to 1hr45

Staying On for a Holiday?

Lots of people are turning this into a longer trip in Italy — before or after the wedding.

Let us know your plans so we have a feel for who’s around and when, and we may also be able to give you some advice on places to see!
